Another Home Daycare & Learning Center understands the importance of play in the learning process when it comes to young children, it is therefore the basis for learning in our program. Our teachers encourage children to use critical thinking and problem solving skills in their daily experiences. They serve as guides instead of leaders, allowing each child to choose his or her learning and playing style, while making safety their number one concern.
Our objective is also to develop strong partnerships with families; we believe partnerships between families and the Center are essential to the growth and development of each child. It is important to us that we also build a relationship that engages them as active partners in their children's education because when parents are involved, students achieve more and exhibit more positive attitudes and behavior.
Furthermore, our establishment cultivates an unbiased atmosphere that celebrates diversity of thoughts and culture, where children and parents are encouraged to share languages, traditions, behaviors, beliefs and values associated to their background.
It is important for us to understand the needs and interests of children and families from culturally diverse backgrounds, in order for us to not only meet the learning, social and wellbeing needs of the children and their families, but to also be able to create an inclusive environment where everyone can participate and feel connected. Such environment provides children with a strong sense of belonging, helping them understand and appreciate differences in themselves and others, which ultimately benefits their mental health and wellbeing.
